Saint Valentine’s Day collection – “The Game” 2008
“The Game” is a fast created collection and was part of a mandatory assignment I got at the Vilnius College, Design Department.
I had exactly 3 days to make a collection on the theme of Saint Valentine’s Day and the collection should be part of a show in a local shopping mall on the high street.
The theme was Saint Valentine’s Day and we were told to make the collection around sweet, sexy and shiny – fitting for a Saint Valentine’s Day.
I made it so the 3 models show their different stories and play with different feelings (unfortunately I have only detailed photos of 2 of the models).
Some preparation for the show.
Adding final touches on the models before the show starts.
The first model I named Zephyr. I made the model look a little coquette with a touch of sentimental flirt. Soft colors, delicate shining, wonderful guipure fabric and fabulous embroidery creating an image of refined tenderness.
The inspiration for this model I got from costume history in modern century.
I tried to underline the beautiful S silhouette that was typical for women at that time. Indeed I found those ladies very attractive!
And the fabric was also chosen to match that period of time – fabrics like taffeta, chiffon, velour, laces, frills, pleats and corset with flowers finishing
